The “Ladybug” preschool in Beocin has been furnished to the highest standards for the growth and development of the youngest ones, using funds from the remaining donations from last year’s “Season of Giving” campaign, intended for equipping the preschool in Odzaci.
On November 8, 2023, the Novak Djokovic Foundation officially opened the renovated “Ladybug” kindergarten within the preschool institution “Ljuba Stankovic” in Beocin, a project realized in collaboration with the Beocin Municipality. The grand opening and a cultural program performed by the kindergarten’s children were attended by the national director of the Foundation, Maja Kremic, the director of the preschool institution, Ljubica Djuric, and the president of the Beocin Municipality, Biljana Jankovic.
The project aimed to equip the central preschool institution in Beocin with an additional 6 rooms, increasing the capacity for admitting children. The total donation value from the Novak Djokovic Foundation amounted to 5.2 million Serbian dinars. The funds for the project were secured from the remaining donations of last year’s “Season of Giving” campaign, dedicated to equipping the kindergarten in Odzaci.
The director of the preschool institution “Ljuba Stankovic” in Beocin, Ljubica Djuric, expressed gratitude for the collaboration with the Novak Djokovic Foundation, emphasizing the foundation’s contribution to providing a modern and functional space for both staff and children.
The national director of the Novak Djokovic Foundation, Maja Kremic, highlighted their pride in another important and successful project for the well-being of children, families, educators, and everyone associated with preschool institutions. The renovated “Ladybug” now has everything necessary for children to enjoy learning in ideal conditions, contributing to the overall improvement of community life.
The president of the Beocin Municipality, Biljana Jankovic, expressed pride in the project, emphasizing that the foundation’s support contributes to a better environment for the community’s youngest members. She also mentioned the municipality’s initiative to provide free attendance to kindergarten for children, supporting families, especially those who have multiple children.
With the opening of the facility at the “Ljuba Stankovic” preschool institution in Beocin, the Novak Djokovic Foundation has, to date, built, reconstructed, or equipped 57 preschools, thus benefiting more than 54,000 children. The foundation’s goal and vision are focused on providing access to essential preschool education for as many children as possible, crucial for their proper development into strong, self-aware, and creative individuals in society.
