Hyatt Regency Belgrade is organizing a traditional charity competition for the best decorated Christmas tree, for the 25th time. Companies who took part supported our project of adapting and furnishing the “Naša Radost” (Our Joy in English) preschool in Boljevac, which will enable an additional 25 children to attend early years programs. Since the event took place on December 5th – International Volunteer Day – we joined forces with our fellow volunteers who have been an indispensable part of our organization for years. Inspired by our mission, the theme of this year’s decoration is “Let’s dream together”.
We passed this weekend in a great company and festive atmosphere. There were plenty of reasons for celebration. Namely, for 25 years now, Hyatt Regency Belgrade has organized a charity manifestation where they select the best decorated Christmas tree. At this event, companies and their employees socialize and compete to see who’s the most creative. This year, 14 companies have taken part, thus collecting EUR 11,900 – and we will use this money to enlighten the future of 25 children in Boljevac by granting them access to early years programs – 25 places for the 25th anniversary!

Little angels stole the show at the event on World Volunteer Day.
The highlight of the event was the performance of BeoBalet’s child choir, whose little ones stole the show. To us, this event was all the more special because it also served as an opportunity to mingle with some of our volunteers, who helped us decorate the Christmas tree and shared their Holiday season plans with us.
“Teach the children… so it will not be necessary to teach the adults!” – Abraham Lincoln.
The best-decorated tree will be chosen on December 21st by a celebrity-studded jury, while all the trees will remain in the hotel’s lobby through January 11th.
