We build or refurbish schools in economically challenged areas so that children will have the chance to develop into confident, secure, productive adults.
Preschool education matters: research shows that children who start school early go on to live better lives. We work together to make this happen. This is why we call these projects Schools of Life – Together for Childhood.
The statistics show that the children who are least likely to have access to early childhood education are children from poor areas, children with developmental delays, and Roma children, who are often not even registered. These children need a place in preschool the most.
We work with local authorities to obtain either a building to refurbish or a piece of land on which to build, in addition to all permits and building licenses.
We build or create safe, modern, clean schools for children to attend.
We train all staff and teachers at on-going seminars intended to help them improve the quality of teaching.
We use up-to-date curricula and work with local governments to ensure our children receive the best possible education and start in life.
Places where we build Schools of Life don’t have enough children per class. Mixed classes mean that children can stay in their village instead of going to other towns in search of education. This improves the conditions in which children grow up and the lives of their families and communities.
More children enrolled in quality preschool programs.
Increased financial support from local and national branches of the government.
Recognition from institutions for the high quality of our programs.
The inclusion of children who have been left marginalized for too long. We see them, and they matter!
