The Novak Djokovic Foundation’s Season of Giving global campaign raised 174,222 euros. Our aim is to provide a kindergarten for every child in the village of Rvati, Raška.
For the sixth year in a row, we successfully finished another Season of Giving and donated 174,222 euros. Like every year, half of these funds were donated by our founders, Novak and Jelena Djokovic.
The story of the village of Rvati in the Raški district, where the kindergarten was destroyed due to the earthquake, went around the world. We received 293 donations from 31 countries in the amount of 87,111 euros. The Novak Đoković Foundation aims to renovate and equip three study rooms, hallways, and bathrooms in the damaged and ruinous part of the local elementary school building, providing a beautiful new kindergarten for 60 children and their families.
This is another step forward in our mission of providing preschool education to every child in Serbia by 2030.
Given that the amount of 174,222 euros exceeds our goal, the remaining funds will be invested in additional Serbian preschool schools.
In the last year’s Season of Giving, we raised 172,944 euros. The funds were used to equip four additional study rooms at the central kindergarten in Odžaci. The remaining donations were used to equip the kindergarten “Bubamara” within the preschool institution “Ljuba Stanković” in Beočin.
