Schools of Life seminar “Supporting children’s critical thinking skills in the early years” held in Knić.

Last weekend, March 7-8, Novak Djokovic Foundation hosted Schools of Life seminar “Supporting children’s critical thinking skills in the early years”, this time in the preschool institution “Cvetić” in Knic. The seminar was held by CIP-Center for Interactive Pedagogy, NDF partner in the project “Schools of Life – Together for Childhood”. The main goal of this training program was to help the teachers implement an interactive approach that will improve the quality of their teaching and support the development of critical thinking skills in children through problem solving, sharing ideas, symbolic representation, and decision making.

We are glad that 16 teachers, 3 nurses and the director of PI, as well as 6 class and special subject teachers participated in the seminar and used this great opportunity to share experiences. At the same time, they were able to learn about some new ways of handling issues they had discussed. The participants were more than willing to take an active part in discussions and to analyze the training program.

The seminar was rated high by the participants, with an average mark 3,90 out of maximum 4. Handbook for teachers with activities and ideas available for their everyday teaching was also provided for all the participants.
