Roksanda Ilincic supports our project “Schools of life”
“The Poetry of Colour”, a fashion exhibit of famous Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic, who lives and works in London, was opened last night at the exhibition area of the Belgrade Waterfront company. The opening of the exhibit marked the beginning of cooperation between Roksanda Ilincic and the Novak Djokovic Foundation, with the designer giving her support to the project “Schools of Life”.
Within the project “Schools of Life”, the Foundation will build and renovate schools in areas which are less economically developed, in order to provide the children who live there with opportunities to develop into confident and successful individuals.
It is my great honor to continue humanitarian work here in Belgrade, this time by supporting the “Schools of Life” project carried out by the Novak Djokovic Foundation. For me, empowering children and support for care, development, and education of the next generation are key for setting the foundations for our future. I am excited that I have the opportunity to participate in this wonderful occasion, in the city where I grew up and was inspired to accomplish my dreams and beliefs. I hope that by supporting this important goal, we will help children dream such big dreams, to believe in themselves and to become everything they aspire to be,” said Roksanda Ilincic.
“We are very grateful to Roksanda for deciding to support our project ‘Schools of Life’, and for recognizing the importance of preschool education in Serbia. This is the beginning of wonderful cooperation which will allow many children in Serbia to have a chance at a quality future,” said the national director of the Foundation, Maja Kremic.
In “Schools of Life”, children aged 3-5 have conditions for harmonious development, to learn and gain knowledge and skills necessary for daily life. The Foundation implements this project in cooperation with the preschool, the local self-government and in cooperation with CIP – Centre for Interactive Pedagogy.
