Novak Djokovic Foundation at the Belgrade Education and Teaching Tools Fair 2017
Special NDF program for fair attendees.
Creative and interactive workshops, prize winning quiz, memory games, presentations and other interesting events featured participation of the Novak Djokovic Foundation in the Belgrade Education and Teaching Tools Fair 2017. Under the slogan “Educated Serbia, Successful Serbia” the fair was opened to all visitors.
Maja Kremic, Head of the Donation Program Department at the Novak Djokovic Foundation, expressed her gratitude to the Belgrade Fair officials for recognizing the value of the Foundation’s mission and ECE in Serbia and giving NDF the opportunity to be here and join other stand holders:
We are privileged the Belgrade Fair acknowledged our Foundation as a partner relevant to contribute to the organization of the Education and Teaching Tools Fair 2017. As one of the exhibitors we want to raise awareness about the importance of ECE and ECD in Serbia and inform child development experts, educators and people in general about activities and projects we have been implementing in this respect, said Kremic.
She invited large corporations, organizations and individuals to support the Foundation’s efforts to provide best possible conditions for education and development of children in Serbia and give them a good start in life.
During the fair, the Novak Djokovic Foundation staged the lecture “Helping kids learn to control their emotions” by a well-known psychotherapist Smiljana Grujic. This 1-hour interactive workshop addressed many topics such as why it’s crucial for parents to keep supporting their children even in critical situations when their behavior is completely unacceptable. Moreover, they came to realize that they don’t have to be “perfect” mom and dad to their children. Kids need their parents’ love, affection, care and understanding to become successful, well-rounded adults.
In addition to various educational and entertaining activities we have prepared for kids, NDF team members welcomed educators, parents and other people interested, talked with them and provided detailed overview of our past activities and projects as well as the events planned to happen in the forthcoming period. We also presented them with the latest and some previous issues of the Original magazine.
At our stand visitors could get all the information regarding our Call for New Projects to be implemented in 2018. List of required documents, guidelines and terms for project funding was available to preschool representatives, local self-governments and civil society organizations.
