NDF builds tennis court in Priboj
NDF donated EUR 25,000 for the children in Priboj to have a new and modern tennis court, construction works begins soon
Novak Djokovic Foundation and the Municipality of Priboj have signed donation agreement for the construction of an outdoor tennis clay court in this town. Total value of the donation is EUR 25,000.00, all covered by NDF.
We are happy to announce the construction works will begin very soon. It means that the children from Priboj and surrounding places will be able to play tennis on their new tennis court in a month!
Priboj is the town where tennis was played for the first time in Serbia, in 1890, just three years after the first tennis tournament in the world was held in London, and 12 years before it became popular in Belgrade. We think Priboj deserves to have new and modern tennis court. That’s why we’ve decided to build it here. Our goal is to help the municipality to promote this sport and provide better conditions for children here to practice it
said Gorana Džudža Jakovljević, NDF project manager upon signing the agreement with Miroslav Bukvić, Sports Assistant to the President of the Municipality.
NDF will provide funds for tennis court construction and its equipping. The Municipality of Priboj will obtain building permit and other necessary documents, arrange and monitor execution of the construction work process.
All the necessary tennis court equipment will be provided, including tennis clay surface, tennis windscreens, tennis net posts, tennis net, court lines, drag mat, court benches, umpire chairs, line brooms, shovels, spreaders, lighting and tennis court sprinkler system.
