by , Posted on 7th Apr 2015

Marathon is the opportunity to share and do good things, and to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood education.

Novak Djokovic Foundation and UNICEF will join and support the Children’s Marathon mini campaign “IN KINDERGARTEN I WILL LEARN ALL THAT I NEED TO REACH MY GOAL”. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood development and education.

Children’s Marathon will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, on Saturday, April 11 2015, in ZOO, starting at 10 AM.

This unique event emphasizes the right of every child to have a good start in life and a childhood like everyone else. We are aware that knowledge and experience children gain at the early years are crucial for them later in life. UNICEF and our strategic partner Novak Djokovic Foundation are working together to ensure that children in Serbia have our support, as well as safe and stimulating conditions, in order to develop their full potentials. Through UNICEF Serbia project “Kindergartens without Borders and NDF project “Schools of Life”, our goal is to increase the number of children included in preschool education in Serbia as well as to improve the quality of their education, especially regarding the most vulnerable children, said at the press conference Michel Saint-Lot, Director of UNICEF Serbia.

Gorana Džudža Jakovljević, NDF project manager, said that the sixth “School of Life” would be open soon and that all the facilities have been opened in economically disadvantaged and rural municipalities in Serbia.

Our project “Schools of Life – Together for childhood” has shown that huge investments are not needed to make preschool program available for children. Right now we have more than 250 boys and girls included in this program. Our message to parents is quite clear – “Enroll your children in kindergarten, since it’s very important for them”. Together with our partners we will do our best to open as many kindergartens as possible. I also use this opportunity to invite all the people of good will to join us. From our experience, we know how the role of local communities and local people is essential for project implementation. Thanks to their help and support we have managed to open all our “Schools of Life” on time, said Džudža Jakovljević.

Belgrade Marathon Director, Dejan Nikolic, expressed his gratitude for support and efforts in promoting education.

This year we are more than pleased that Novak Djokovic Foundation has decided to join and support the Children’s Marathon mini campaign “IN KINDERGARTEN I WILL LEARN ALL THAT I NEED TO REACH MY GOAL” to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood development and education, said Dejan Nikolic.

  • Hello exceptional blog! Does running a blog similar to this require a large amount of work? I have very little understanding of coding but I had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyway, if you have any ideas or tips for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject but I simply had to ask. Thank you!

  • First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Thanks!|掲示板}

  • Thanks for your personal marvelous posting! I genuinely enjoyed reading it, you may be a great author.I will be sure to bookmark your blog and will eventually come back sometime soon. I want to encourage you to definitely continue your great job, have a nice morning!

  • Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
