Foundation “Novak Djokovic” to give New Year presents to children in foster care
Foundation “Novak Djokovic” will give New Year presents to children in foster care at the territory of Belgrade aged 3-7 years, on Saturday, December 21 at 10AM.
A hundred and fifty packages include toys and candies, St.George clothing and Esensa company products for treatment of common cold during winter months. Santa will give presents to children at Dom Omladine (the Youth Center), which provided the space for the occasion to the Center for Foster Care and Adoption.
“This year we’ve decided to donate gifts to children in foster care, because these kids are deeply affected by not growing up with their biological families. On the other hand, our Foundation has been helping, together with UNICEF, the emergency foster care program, and also putting an extra effort to end institutionalization of children. If children can not be with their parents, foster families are certainly much better environment for them than institutions. We hope to bring joy to these children and we hope they will remember this day spent with us,” said Jelena Ristic, the “Novak Djokovic” Foundation director.
Animation group for children Cigra will entertain the kids with special performances.
