Children’s Marathon was a great opportunity to do good things, share positive energy and raise awareness of the importance of early childhood and preschool education. Around 150 boys and girls participated in the 22nd Smoki Smokić Children’s Marathon held at the Belgrade Zoo on Saturday, 11 April 2015.

We were more than glad that kids and their parents liked and supported our mini campaign slogan “In kindergarten I’ll Learn All I Need to Reach My Goal!”. Novak Djokovic Foundation launched this campaign together with our friends from UNICEF, with the aim to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood development and education.

The world’s best tennis player and the founder of NDF, Novak Djokovic, shortly before the marathon started, addressed to the kids in a letter he has sent them especially for this occasion.

I wish I were with you today. I’m sending you my warmest greetings and lots of hugs. I’m glad that you will enjoy and have fun with your friends during the race in the wonderful environment of the Belgrade Zoo. Spend as much time as you can outdoors, doing sports, or playing games with your parents and friends. When I was a kid I loved playing outside, it was of crucial importance for my development – wrote Novak.

Djokovic also had a message for the parents:

Early years are learning years. Therefore, it’s very important for children to attend high-quality preschool programs. In kindergartens they can socialize with their peers and make new friends, but also develop their potentials in a creative and stimulating environment. The goal of our Foundation, UNICEF and all other people and partners who joined us, is to ensure that there are as many kindergartens with quality programs as possible. We will do our best to provide engaging and stimulating environment that encourages early childhood development and education.

Novak thanked everyone who participated in the marathon:

Remember the slogan, in kindergarten we can learn all we need to reach our goals!

Novak Djokovic Foundation implements the “Schools of Life – Together for Childhood” project in economically disadvantaged and rural municipalities in Serbia. So far more than 250 children have been included in this program, which is a big step forward given that in the past none of the children attended preschool programs in these places.

We sincerely hope that great number of parents from Serbia will enroll their children in kindergartens by the end of April, since it’s very important for the kids!

  • Platform feeders, the location where the birdseed is simply lay out with a large screen, work very well.
There are portable finders such as the Fishin’ Buddy Series along with the Smart –
Cast series. Many people recommend using a hummingbird tattoo on the shoulder as it would
look like the bird is perching on you.

  • The crux of your writing while sounding agreeable initially, did not work very well with me after some time. Somewhere throughout the sentences you actually were able to make me a believer unfortunately just for a very short while. I still have got a problem with your leaps in logic and one might do well to help fill in all those breaks. In the event you can accomplish that, I will certainly be impressed.
