€25,800 raised in Bratislava exhibition to help pre-school education programs in Serbia
A great sporting and humanitarian event was held in Bratislava on Wednesday.
World no.1 Novak Djokovic played two exhibitions in a packed AEGON Arena, something that tennis enthusiasts in the capital of Slovakia will remember for a long time.
Novak first played singles match against 23-year-old Slovakian hope and ATP Newcomer of the Year, Martin Klizan. The Serbian tennis star scored a straight-sets victory, and then entertained the audience with famous impersonations of his tennis colleagues.
€25,800 was raised through the charity auction that followed. The funds will go to Novak Djokovic Foundation to help pre-school education programs in Serbia.
The event ended with a doubles match between Novak and Marian Vajda on one side, and Martin Klizan and Dominik Hrbaty on the other. Novak Djokovic and his doubles partner won the highly entertaining encounter.
