Significant Donation of Medical Equipment to the General Hospital in Smederevo
With a goal to provide additional support in the treatment of Covid patients, our team donated medical equipment worth over EUR 25 thousand to the Infectious Diseases Department of the General Hospital “Sveti Luka” in Smederevo.
As a part of our initiative to support the Serbian health care system in the fight against the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, we continue to deliver medical equipment to hospitals all over our country. We are dedicated to monitoring the situation on the ground, listening to the needs of health workers and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, we are trying to react quickly and provide help where it is most needed. This time, we supported the General Hospital “Sveti Luka” in Smederevo and donated medical equipment that will significantly contribute to the quality of patient care during a pandemic.
We donated 14 electric hospital beds, 7 flow meters with wall humidifiers, a twelve-channel ECG device and a reclining wheelchair to transport patients to the infectious department of this health institution. The total value of the donation of medical equipment is over EUR 25 thousand.
Immediately after the COVID outbreak, our founders Novak and Jelena Djokovic donated one million euros to help Serbia’s healthcare system fight this crisis. The entire Foundation’s team ensured that the necessary equipment arrived as soon as possible, that it was of high quality and that it fulfilled the needs of healthcare institutions throughout Serbia. Our expeditious and collaborative method of providing help was also recognized and supported by corporate partners and generous individuals with USD 200,000 worth of donations.
